Boo and Boo Factory - Colourful, vibrant and structured leather jewelry

It was originally on Etsy that I’ve discovered Christina Anton’s flamboyantly colourful cut leather jewelry brand – Boo and Boo Factory.  With the most vibrant colour combinations, strong geometric- yet kind of molecular structures and glorious mixes of pattern, prints and texture – how could I NOT be hooked?  Besides the leather necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets, her line also includes a range of lovingly hand painted leather wallets and key chains.  Just looking at her work infuses you with a therapeutic shot of sometimes much needed “artist penicillin” – because with such lively bouncy colours, her work is a real pick-me-up.

Jessica Zoob - Playful, evocative and layered

I can’t think of any other artist who can evoke the mystic and emotive quite the way Jessica Zoob does.  Looking at her work, you really get a sense of the reminiscence of time, which she achieves by building up layers of paint, adding mesmerizing textures and enveloping with a subtle glaze of the most calming colours.  Maybe her work really is as incidental as it may appear, yet you can’t help but to be swept into an atmospheric abstract world where actual matter may be just as illusive as the space surrounding it.
