Marina Nelson - Multiple Layered Abstract Paintings
The funny thing about the creative process is
that we rarely know exactly how a finished piece of work is going to turn
out. What we always do need, however, is
a departure point – an initial concept born from love or admiration of beauty
itself. One such artist whose wonderfully
layered work reveals this process is Marina Nelson. Full of depth and intensity you are always
looking at way more than just the immediate visual message upon viewing her
work. As she puts it in her own words:-
“My painting reveals itself slowly
through multiple layers, or maybe I am peeling my own onion.”
