When I first discovered the paintings done by Willem de Kooning, I immediately felt that sense of familiarity again... His swift brush strokes, expressive use of bold and muted colours and the composition of seemingly unfamiliar objects - like, like and like! These are just some of my personal favourite paintings of his. Even though his painting style may appear swift (also dubbed "action painting"), a busy man he was indeed, since there are many many more paintings done by him.

Chanel - Fall 2016 Couture - You won't believe the details
This time I just couldn't help myself - Chanel's Fall 2016 Couture collection inspired me to compose some close-ups of the captured images from their most recent runway. It turns out that even the detailed close-ups are like abstract art images in their own right - so intense, layered, "candy" everywhere for the eye to savour... If these images are enough to whet your appetite, do indulge in the entire collection here. Bon appètit!
