Lampshade is the new chandelier - new dimensions in chevron chain.
What happened after a beading session experimenting with the chevron chain technique. At the spur of the moment I decided to pull one side of beads all together to form the top row in the earring (which caused some sort of lampshade effect)... Still deciding whether I'm really feeling this one...

Marina Nelson - Multiple Layered Abstract Paintings
The funny thing about the creative process is
that we rarely know exactly how a finished piece of work is going to turn
out. What we always do need, however, is
a departure point – an initial concept born from love or admiration of beauty
itself. One such artist whose wonderfully
layered work reveals this process is Marina Nelson. Full of depth and intensity you are always
looking at way more than just the immediate visual message upon viewing her
work. As she puts it in her own words:-
“My painting reveals itself slowly
through multiple layers, or maybe I am peeling my own onion.”

Bobbie Burgers - Expressionist Flower Paintings
Bobbie Burgers doesn’t just paint flowers – she reveals the
spirit of it! With her sprightly
painterly style she employs vigorous brushstrokes to produce her large-scale
expressionist paintings. Unfettered and
refreshing, they are sure to instil a breeze of contemporary air into any
space, whilst still maintaining a style vaguely reminiscent of Provencal
sentimentality.
